6. Volume: is the amount of space a substance occupies.


7. Kilogram: an SI unit of mass.


8. Celsius: an SI unit of temperature.

9. Scientific Method: a series of steps used to solve problems.

10. Hypothesis: a statement that can be tested.

11. Experiment: testing a hypothesis using a series of steps with controlled conditions.

12. Variable: something that causes the changes observed in an experiment.

13. Control: a standard for comparing results.

14. Data: the recorded facts or measurements from an experiment.

15. Theory: a hypothesis that has been tested again and again by many scienists, with similar results each time.

 

16. Technology: the use of scientific discoveries to solve everyday problems.
